BEpic Refund Dispute and Consumer Complaint Report – Part 2
This report documents my experience with the BEpic program promoted by Dan Putnam and marketed with references to a "Guaranteed $10,000 Monthly Income" opportunity. The purpose of this report is to provide a factual account of the events that occurred, my attempts to resolve the matter directly with the company, and my subsequent efforts to obtain assistance through my credit card issuer.

Initial Sign-Up Attempt
On April 20, 2026, I attempted to enroll in the BEpic program. My intention was to purchase the $25 option. However, during the enrollment process, the system repeatedly defaulted to the $75 option instead.
I made multiple attempts to complete the registration process, but the system would not allow me to successfully finish the enrollment. After several unsuccessful attempts, I abandoned the process and decided not to proceed.
Despite being unable to complete the registration, my credit card was charged during these attempts.
At the time, I had reservations about the company and the opportunity itself. However, the individual who introduced me to the program, Chip, spoke positively about the opportunity and encouraged my participation. Because Chip was already aware of the technical issues I was experiencing, I did not immediately contact the company directly regarding the enrollment problem. Instead, Chip indicated that he would contact the company to address the issue.

Cancellation Request
After deciding that I no longer wished to participate, I sent an email requesting that my account be canceled and that the $75 charge be refunded.
Interestingly, within approximately twenty minutes of sending my cancellation request, I received a Facebook message from Chip. Prior to that message, I had not heard from him for more than two months. While this timing may be coincidental, I found it noteworthy given the circumstances.
The company responded to my email and confirmed that my account had been canceled. However, the response did not address my request for a refund.
I followed up and specifically asked about reimbursement of the $75 charge. I was then informed that the purchase was considered non-refundable. You can read the e-mails below.

Thanks Kathlen,
I appreciate you closing the account, and stopping the charges.
However, you failed to say anything about the refund. Are you refunding
this charge, or do I go to my credit card, and do a charge back?
Thanks

Concerns Regarding the Refund Policy
My primary concern is that I was charged despite being unable to successfully complete the enrollment process, which they manually did it by hand to get my account activated. Once I determined that I did not wish to participate with their company anymore, and they ended up charging my card again, I promptly requested cancellation and a refund.
The product involved appears to be entirely digital in nature. No physical goods were shipped to me, and no inventory was delivered. Access consisted of an online back-office area containing prerecorded materials.

In many consumer transactions involving physical products, companies may deduct a restocking fee when merchandise is returned. In this case, however, no physical product was shipped or returned. As a result, I was surprised to learn that the entire amount would be retained despite my request for cancellation and refund.
So, instead of charging me a restocking fee, for what I have no idea, as it is a digital back office, they could have still charged a 25% restocking fee, again, for what I don't know, but instead, they decided to charge a 300% restocking fee, and just keep all the money. That was 3 months of membership, of, well, digital nothing.
Whether such a policy is appropriate or fair is a matter for consumers, regulators, and the marketplace to evaluate. From my perspective as a customer, falsely retaining the full payment under these circumstances was disappointing and inconsistent with the level of customer service I expected.
Additional Contact With Support
After receiving the denial of my refund request, I contacted Elan Financial, my credit card provider seeking assistance of the matter.
I also expressed concerns regarding the program's marketing representations and the income-related claims that were presented. Based on my own review and experience, I found it difficult to reconcile those representations with the realities of the program as I understood them.
My request remained the same from BEpic: cancellation of my participation and no reimbursement of the $75 charge.
Credit Card Dispute
When my attempts to resolve the issue directly with the company were unsuccessful, I initiated a dispute through my credit card issuer.
As part of that process, I provided supporting information and documentation that I believed was relevant to my complaint. This included publicly available information and online resources that I felt would help explain why I had concerns about the transaction and the company involved.
Despite providing the requested documentation and cooperating with the dispute process, the credit card issuer ultimately ruled against my claim and allowed the charge to stand, as they said I did not fill out the forms they sent, and sent them back. That is false, and I uploaded them to their back office, and I also sent it by USPS mail, which cost $2.27. Below is the image of the documents they sent, and I fill out and uploaded to the backoffice as also instructed to do. However, there is not date to verifiy that I can see, but I bet they can see a date on their end.

As a consumer, I found that outcome frustrating because I believed I had provided sufficient information demonstrating both the enrollment issues and my unsuccessful efforts to obtain a refund directly from the company.
This report will continue with additional documentation, correspondence, and supporting materials related to my experience, as well as be reported to the proper authorities.
Credit Card Dispute Process
After my attempts to resolve the matter directly with BEpic were unsuccessful, I contacted my credit card issuer, Elan Financial Services, to dispute the charge.
I initiated the dispute through the company's online chat system so there would be a written record of the conversation. A copy of that communication is included below, with personal identifying information redacted.

As you can see on the chat image above, that was the instruction on how and where to upload my documentation, which I did, as well as sending through the US Mail.
Based on the information requested during the chat process, I believed I had provided a thorough explanation of the circumstances surrounding the transaction, including the issues I experienced during enrollment, my cancellation request, and my unsuccessful efforts to obtain a refund directly from the company.
Request for Additional Information
Approximately one week later, Elan Financial Services sent me a questionnaire requesting additional information regarding the dispute.
Although I believed much of the requested information had already been provided, I completed the questionnaire in full and submitted it as requested.
To ensure that the documentation was received, I submitted the completed questionnaire through Elan Financial's online system. Documentation confirming that upload is in an image above our online chat, also above.
In addition, I mailed a physical copy of the completed questionnaire through the United States Postal Service the following day. The mailing was in a 9" X 12" manila envelope and the cost was $2.27.
My objective was to ensure there could be no question regarding whether the requested information had been provided.
Dispute Closure
Approximately one month later, I received correspondence from Elan Financial Services stating that the requested questionnaire had not been received and that the dispute would therefore be resolved in favor of the merchant.
This outcome was surprising because I had submitted the requested information through two separate methods:
Because the requested documentation had been submitted through both channels, I disagreed with the conclusion that the information had not been received.
Concerns Regarding the Investigation
My concern is not simply that the dispute was denied. Rather, my concern is that the documentation I submitted does not appear to have been fully considered during the review process.
As a consumer, I made every effort to comply with the dispute requirements. I responded to requests for information, completed the questionnaire, uploaded the documentation electronically, and mailed a physical copy for additional assurance.
Given those efforts, I expected a thorough review of the evidence before a final decision was reached.
Instead, I was informed that the required documentation had not been received, despite my records indicating that it had been submitted through multiple channels.
Prior Experiences
This was not the first time I have disagreed with the handling of a disputed transaction involving financial institutions. In previous disputes involving other merchants, I have also experienced situations where I believed relevant information was not fully considered during the review process.
While each dispute must be evaluated on its own facts, my experience in this matter left me with concerns regarding the effectiveness of the consumer dispute process and whether sufficient consideration was given to the documentation I submitted.
Consumer Response
As a result of this experience, I lost confidence in Elan Financial Services' dispute-resolution process.
My dissatisfaction is based on my personal experience and my belief that the evidence I provided was not adequately reviewed before the dispute was resolved.
Because of those concerns, I paid the $75 charge, and I chose to discontinue using all 3 of our credit cards administered by Elan Financial Services, totalling over $20,000.00 of our credit line.
Consumers are encouraged to conduct their own research and evaluate the dispute-resolution policies and procedures of any financial institution before deciding which products best meet their needs.
